Bianca began piano lessons at the young age of four and two years later turned to harp studies with ShruDeLi Ownbey, a pioneer in the Suzuki Harp Method. At age 18, she moved north to study harp performance on a 4 year scholarship to the University of Washington with Pamela Vokolek. She holds a B.A. in Humanities with an emphasis in Harp Performance and Mandarin Chinese.
As an orchestral harpist she was former first chair for the Utah Youth and University of Washington Symphony Orchestra as well as a guest harpist for several other local orchestras including Salt Lake Symphony, New American World Symphony and Northwest Symphony Orchestra. She has performed as a soloist and in ensembles on stages in the United States, Canada and Taiwan and has won various awards on both the state and national level including a finalist in the AHS National Competition in 1996. She is a former Miss Emerald City (Seattle) and winner of the talent award in the Miss Washington competition.
After graduating from the University of Washington, she pursued her love of teaching and opened studios in Seattle and Maple Valley teaching children using the Suzuki method. She is a former member of the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle as well as a former President of the Seattle chapter of the American Harp Society.
She currently a "Suzuki mother" of 5 children and is an assistant teacher in the Alpine School District Chinese Immersion program.
